BIO5 Arizona K-12 Science Teacher Symposium!

The annual BIO5 Arizona Science Teacher Symposium offers K-12 teachers from across the state professional development workshops, speakers, laboratory tours and a science education outreach resource fair, all designed to enhance science education in Arizona. Teachers leave with hands-on, standards-based lesson plans that they can implement in their classrooms, and receive a bioscience education resource CD and eight hours of credit toward recertification for their participation.

150 teachers from across the State of Arizona participated in the 2008 Arizona Science Teacher Symposium! Teachers attended two workshops selected from a menu of 16 workshops, heard a keynote presentation by Dr. Walt Klimecki, and learned about outreach resources at the UA science education outreach resource expo.
