The award recognizes “research contributions by exceptional mid-career scientists in the fields of atmospheric and climate sciences.”
In addition to other researchers, BIO5 member Armin Sorooshian has been awarded the Atmospheric Sciences Ascent Award for his research in aerosol-water relationships as well as being a leader in airborne fieldwork. Dr. Sorooshian's impact will continue to grow as he endeavors into more projects including a $30-million NASA Earth Venture Class suborbital mission.
