Photo Gallery: BIO5 brings science and art to Wellness and Wonder
On September 20, around 200 guests joined BIO5 for science and art activities for Wellness and Wonder Day 2025.

It was a day filled with family-friendly fun across the University of Arizona Health Sciences campus.
From exploring prototypes to creating art to discovering whether they were a “supertaster,” guests filled the ground floor of the Thomas W. Keating Bioresearch Building with curiosity and energy.
As part of the event, the BIO5 Institute hosted the Science in Art exhibit featuring works by David T. Kessler, as well as the interactive “See Yourself in STEM: Supertaster” activity.
Wellness and Wonder is an annual event that highlights the intersections of health, humanities, wellbeing, and art across the University of Arizona Health Sciences campus.
The 2025 event invited individuals and families of all ages and abilities to take part in wellness activities, dance, hands-on STEM games, guided tours of state-of-the-art laboratories and museums, and access to digital art collections.
By blending art and science through interactive experiences, BIO5 showcased its unique role as an interdisciplinary research facility committed to community engagement.
BIO5 is grateful to everyone who chose to spend their Saturday celebrating the wonder of art and science together.
