With the help and research of UArizona researchers, The International Agency for Research on Cancer (IARC) recently classified occupational exposure as a firefighter as carcinogenic. Numerous studies revealed that the exposure on the job as a firefighter causes cancer and reveals a need to understand reduction of exposure and prevention.
