Work Summary

I am a trauma, acute care surgeon and surgical critical care intensivist by clinical training. This gives me my clinical lens for my research endeavors. I completed a two-year research fellowship during my general surgery residency and currently finishing my masters of clinical research at University of Arizona. I am engaged in various research topics related to trauma and acute care surgery, but I consider my main area of interest to be trauma system design and resource allocation. I truly believe that as a surgeon, I can save lives on a one-on-one basis, but as a researcher, I have the potential to help my patients on a population level. I have presented our research findings at numerous national meetings and won research awards for those presentations. I have a number of publications related to this topic.
